Ten One Aerospace is seeking an Aerospace Engineer to join our growing team. You will join a dynamic group supporting mission analysis and technology development for multiple customers. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and organized and will have familiarity with orbital mechanics, spacecraft dynamics, control systems, and estimation. Previous experience in spacecraft GNC; systems engineering; rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking (RPOD); and flight or ground software development would be an advantage.

• Perform Rendezvous, Proximity Operations, and Docking (RPOD) mission analysis, including trajectory design, constraint evaluation, and performance assessment.

• Develop, execute, and analyze high-fidelity simulations of spacecraft relative motion using open-source tools (NASA cFS and Basilisk from CU Boulder).

• Contribute to the design, implementation, documentation, and testing of GNC algorithms for orbit determination, guidance, and control, including Kalman filters, estimation, and control logic for RPOD scenarios.

• Work closely with the systems engineering team to develop, trace, and verify requirements for flight and simulation software.

• Participate in customer interactions to capture mission needs, present technical analyses, and demonstrate product capabilities through simulation and visualization tools.

• Support verification and validation activities, including test case definition, simulation campaign management, and results documentation.

• Contribute to the architecture and development of reusable simulation software components, improving scalability and performance across multiple mission programs.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with software, systems, and operations engineers to ensure mission success from concept through on-orbit demonstration.

• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering or related engineering discipline.

• M.S. in Aerospace Engineering or 4+ years of experience in spacecraft GNC is preferred.

• Ability to work with multidisciplinary and distributed teams.

• Desire to work in a small, fast-paced, and innovative aerospace company.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

• Experience in spacecraft guidance, navigation, and control system development.

• Experience in spacecraft attitude control system development.

• Experience in spacecraft rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking systems.

• Experience developing software in C/C++, Python, and MATLAB/Simulink.

• Experience working with computer vision and electro-optical sensors.

• Current security clearances or ability to obtain clearances.

Remote with <10% travel, mostly to Ten One Aerospace’s facility. The salary range for this position varies between $130,000 and $175,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
